Hello everyone, so I have just spent the last hour since I got in from my day job listening to this very rich and insightful discussion between  Mr Venatius Tsi Fon, CEO and founder of Careers And Jobs for You & Mirabel  during his appearance on time with MIRABEL.

time with MIRABEL Is an online based show hosted by the Rev.Mrs Abongta Mirabel Sirri Ngwa designed for people of all ages and domains where they share their experiences. The show is tailored to inform, educate, support and inspire young people through its calibre of guest and uprising stars when they share their success stories.

On this edition, Mr Venatius Tsi Fons takes us through his journey as a job seeker in Cameroon upon return from the United Kingdom and the contribution he is making in Cameroon. Here are some of the key points I have extracted from the course of the discussion which I will like you to reflect on especially if you are a Cameroonian who is living and studying in Cameroon or have returned from studies abroad and looking for jobs in Cameroon. Please she with us your views in the comment section below.

QUOTES AND EXTRACTS BY VENATIUS TSI FON ON THE TIME WITH MIRABEL SHOW

[su_quote cite=”VENATIUS TSI FON”]Most Cameroonian don’t know how to draft a CV’s and motivation letters. That is a fact.[/su_quote]

I wanted to be able to meet a general manager and tell him what I will be able to do for his company and that paid off.

[su_quote cite=”VENATIUS TSI FON”] Cameroonians don’t know how to study at university. And even if they do, they don’t know how to capitalise on the skills they gain from the studies to sell themselves in the society.[/su_quote]

I take a Cameroonian who is a bit confused from high school or university and I push them towards the direction where they will be living their passion and making money out of it.

[su_quote cite=”VENATIUS TSI FON”]Most Cameroonian, if you were to ask them to tell you what they can do, they will always start by saying, I have a masters degree in this! [/su_quote]

A degree doesn’t give you skills. Your skills are developed by yourself. And if you don’t know them, you will not be able to sell yourself and that is how I help people.
