[su_dropcap size=”5″]E[/su_dropcap]Essentially, ScholarShop gives students the opportunity to earn needed school supplies through community service, academic improvement, and healthy lifestyles. As students achieve goals, such as volunteering at the local health center, improving their marks, or taking an HIV test, they earn ScholarDollars that can be redeemed for the supplies they really need. Rather than simply handing out supplies, our program transforms students from passive charity recipients into community change agents.

  1. Thanks for this unique initiative and a way of transforming students into agents of change. My community in Pujehun District in Southern Sierra Leone has a school where the Paramount Chief and family have been paying teachers salaries over the past 5 years as Government has not accepted taking up that responsibility.
Secondly, parents cannot afford supporting their kids in school. We have even galvanised support from friends and build a dormitory for girls with beds and mattresses but parents cannot afford to even pay the reduced charges of $150 a year to give their girl children an opportunity to learn and as such the facility is closed.
We would be very grateful should your organisation link with us to give these potential leaders an opportunity to learn.
Finally all the 8 candidates who took the last Junior Secondary School Basic Exams passed and 6 of them are still not enrolled in Senior Secondary School .
