How to get the perfect wedding guest look good for less
If you stumbled on this post then count yourself lucky cause we right here spilling how to be the best-dressed wedding guest on a budget. The secret to pulling off a glamorous wedding guest look that screams expensive on a limited budget is knowing what works for you. One thing I have noticed and I bet you too have is, we all want to look a million bucks on minimum wage.
Whether you consider your style laidback, sexy, minimal or trendsetting, wedding styling for guests is as experimental as it is with brides.
Fit is everything
Did I mention that this entire glam wedding guest look comes under a $100? Yes, you read that right! Foremost, the clutch is a gift from one of my besties, which isn’t a pricey piece anyway. However, the color was just the right hue for this head-to-toe blush pink wedding guest look. Unfortunately, I don’t know exactly how much it costs. Therefore, in my books, it was free! Meanwhile, the rose gold strappy sandals were a miserly $19.99 bargain from Justfab. What more can I say, that’s about half of the outfit under $20.00. Seriously, this midi dress screamed my name as I set eyes on it at ASOS for just $35.99. Did I hear someone say wow? Yep, all you need to know is what works for your body.
Makeup for Less too!
Now on to the make-up. In the first place, on this side of things, that is, when it comes to make-up, I am a novice. As for the blending and contouring department, I am a complete amateur. So please, forgive me for the bleeding eyeshadow and shaky blending job. All things considered, I know that there’s never a complete fashion look without the perfect makeup tools. That said, who needs M.A.C cosmetics, Mary Kay, Estee Lauder, Lancome, etc when you can achieve better results for less? All my makeup products and supplies for this look were snatched on a $25 budget from the Beauty Supply store. You will be shocked to learn that my foundation costs only $7.99! Moreover, my lipstick, a blend of two NICKA K True Matte Liquid Lipstick, retails for $1.99 at the Beauty Supply store. To top it off, I added some false eyelashes for another $5.99.
Perfect Wedding Guest Slay
And that’s not the end of it. My hair was done simply by holding my natural hair into a bun. To this bun, I added a pack of kinky hair extension which I braided into a long braid and hooked on to the bun with bobby pins!
Finally, for jewelry, I wore gold hoop earrings and a statement ring both below $10. This is where I think I could have done something differently. I couldn’t find my drooping earrings which I think could have complemented the look better. Hence, I resorted to these gold hoops. I completed the look with some press on nails from Wal-Mart at $4 et voila!!!
