Selam Fessahaye: Stockholm Spring 2019
Selam Fessahaye debuts Spring 2019 menswear and womenswear collection with a cast made mostly of models of colour. Discover 34-year-old Selam Fessahaye Spring 2019 collection lookbook captured by photographer IK Aldama.
The debut collection features neon colours, work wear references, touches of couture with asymmetric hems and oversized suits. According to the stylist turned designer in regards to the sizes and fittings:
“I feel comfortable wearing big things”, Salem told Vogue. “I think I use oversize as a protection. I made this big suit for some music video or something and then I just held on to t and made it bigger”.
If you take a closer look at the prints, you will spot the rick organza, silk and petals which the designer used in the pieces. Obviously, Fessahaye paid a lot f devotion to the collection to bring it to live and Vogue worthy.
