If you are a recent graduate or already a young city sleek like myself, then you must have mastered the art of living and working in a metropolitan city like London. Here is my tuppence for the young graduate looking to join the payroll of big city firms like Coutts & Co, Lloyds of London, Bank of England etc. It is about time you kick of your casual trainers and start looking the part for your next new role. There is an unspoken level of competition that exist within big and even small organisations. Before you go for your interview, make sure you try as much as possible to look the part of the role you are applying for. Do a research about the company’s profile. Find out how employees dress up in the organisation the Do’s and Don’t’s . It is very essential that you turn up for your interview looking every inch the person specified in the advert. However make sure you are not over the top or under dress or appear to be to casual or relax. Once you make it through your interview and have a few years or experience within the company, you must have during this period developed your personal work style depending on your company’s culture.
However, for me personally, from my years of experience I have developed a comfortable, decent and classy style for myself. And my secret is wearing clothes that looks as good as you feel. I am a big promoter of sexy elegance. I love my outfits to standout and represent me, crisp, fresh and classy. When shopping for outfits, my first rule is to browse around. If you are a minimalist, there are plenty of high-street and online brands for you to shop from and look good for less. Also mixing your high street and designer brand is great way to bring out your versatility through your fashion eyes. For example, my outfit is a mixture of British high street brands and top designer brands.
