Adut Akech Bior Wins Model of the Year 2019
In 2018, Kaia Gerber, Cindy Crawford’s daughter won the prestigious award. On Monday night, Akech won the awards beating other models in the category including Adwoa Aboah, Kaia Gerber. Adesuwa Aighewi and Winnie Harlow were also hopefuls. While winners usually use the spotlight to thank their fans, Adut used her moment of recognition to call for greater diversity in the fashion industry.
Being an unstoppable African queen, Adut served up raw elegance with the most graceful poses on the red carpet. Yes, of course, Adut looked every inch the proud winner of the ‘Model of the Year’ award. She wore a strapless emerald green velvet and taffeta dress by Pier Paolo Piccioli for Valentino. For accessories, Adut wore a pair of crystal drop earrings and bedazzled silver rhinestone heels and a matching clutch.
