Fashion designer Kate Spade has been found dead in what appears to be a suicide according to news media outlets. Apparently, the designer 55, hanged herself with a scarf in an apparent suicide. She was found at a New York City apartment Tuesday, according to a NYPD source.
Kate Spade founded the fashion line, Kate Spade New York. The brand now has more than 140 retail shops and outlet stores across the U.S. Also, they owned more than 175 shops internationally. The brand is reputed for its crisp color, graphic prints, and playful sophistication. These are the hallmarks of #katespade new york. From handbags and clothing to jewelry, fashion accessories, the designer created a name for the brand worldwide.
Kate is the latest high profile designer in recent years to die by suicide after Alexander McQueen 2010 and L’Wren Scott 2014.
