In her debut film Dorothy Diamond unveils a bittersweet tale of the lives of three Cameroonian women living in the United Kingdom.
The movie Curtains is an adaptation from her “Dear Diary” series which she often published on her blog Perfect Escape.
Each of the characters in the movie ‘Curtains’ is fighting their own battles for love, success and personal fulfillment.
Dorothy’s drama takes us on a deep into a web of secrets. As the title suggests, the characters that are mostly of African origin, are caught between trying to obtain legal residency in the UK, trying to save their marriages and keeping the secret of an abusive uncle.

At first glance, the characters all seem to form a calm unified front. However, everything unravels as the diaries of the lead actress Limunga who came to the UK as a student finds herself pregnant. At the same time the said diaries are stolen by her American boyfriend Kyle.
Kyle James also happens to be the father of her unborn child. This is the situation that scratches the surfaces of their lives. Thus enhances a rather thrilling, funny,painful and often thought provoking plot.
Dorothy rocked her red carpet in a deep plunge cocktail dress with extreme sleeves. The maiden producer also wore a pointy strap silver sandals with kitten heels for a glam look.
