Hello everybody, thank you for coming back for some Mammypi fashion inspiration. This is my first post for the month of March and the week. I am grateful to have made it into this month as it is also my birth month so I have a lot to be thankful for.
Today’s post is inspired by rush hour in the city and beating the Monday blues. We all wish our weekends were slightly longer but Monday is always hiding somewhere at the start of each week. Here we are again…(yawns)
If you live and work in a busy city like London, you will experience each morning rush hour how the city blossoms into life with professionals from all works of life light up the city with style and wit in beautiful uniforms, suit & tie, ladies rushing about in stilettos and our hunky police officers about keeping the city safe.On a Monday morning, I like to look smart for various reasons. There could be an ad-hoc team meeting, if I am to meet new people, first impression counts. Look fresh, smell fresh and let my outfit says I am ready for business. Because it is Monday, I keep my braids sling back for a simple look. I usually don’t leave enough room for makeup in the morning so I hardly ever wear make up to work. I will have to make the efforts sometimes anyway. In this simple outfit, I got the silk shirt from H&M about 5months ago and only discovered I had them this morning, black pants from River Island,Shoes by Aldo and a hot cuppa tea to help me beat the blues. I like how the heels accentuate the entire look and adds the edginess to it. All the items on this outfit are from previous season.

This is such a simple but classy outfit. Simple black trousers, white shirt pair them with a lovely pair of heels and it tells your boss you are ready for the challenge. This is an outfit that anyone can pull perfectly well. If you want to add the extra swag, add on a pair of glasses, carry your business brief and give the new intern the impression you are the boss lol.
Wishing you all a wonderful week.
