Is it just me or are you also wondering when this year’s winter is actually going to start? It’s January yet there has been little or no snow. Whatever the case may be, it is cold and we all know that winter style can be so boring and frumpy due to the drop in temperatures. The tendency usually is to trade fashion for warmth during this season but that need not be the case. There are many ideas to stay warm and stylish.
Winter Style: Layers
Top on the list, layers. This is by far the most fashionable and warmest winter style. By layering, you are warm when outside and can layer off depending on how warm or cold you get when inside. Also, layering allows you to wear clothes year round and not limit some clothes to specific seasons only. Layering easily transforms a summer, spring or fall outfit into a winter outfit.

An ideal layering winter style will be to wear a pullover or turtle neck underneath a sleeveless dress or top. Likewise, adding tights and panty hosts to your skirts or dresses. Ultimately, a cardigan, woolen or faux fur vest over a nice blouse will make for a cozy, warm and chic look.
Pop of Color
If you already have a black, camel or grey coat, why not switch up your winter style this season and choose pink, red or blue? Whether it’s a vibrant cobalt blue coat or a neon pink purse, it’ll make your outfit a lot more exciting. If the palette of your outfit is a mix of neutrals, adding a bright color will pair extremely well.
Choose the Classics
You can never go wrong with the classics. A classic like the trendy camel coat or a grey coat is always in style. If you have one, bring it out and rock it this winter!
Add a Scarf
Finally, the scarf! Stack up on scarves this season to stay warm and stylish! Scarves are a key wardrobe element in making your winter style fabulous. Not only do scarves keep you warm, but they also come in various colors and designs to help serve as that pop of color in your drabby winter outfit!
